The National Memorial Chhorten is located at Chhoten Lam in the Chang Khorlo area. Look for the iconic white stupa, which is easily visible. There is usually parking available near the monument.

To reach the National Memorial Chhorten via public transportation, start by taking a local bus from Gelephu to Thimphu. The bus station in Gelephu is centrally located. The journey takes approximately 4-5 hours and costs around BTN 200-300. Upon arrival at the Thimphu bus terminal, you can either walk (about 1.5 km) or take a taxi to the National Memorial Chhorten. Taxis are readily available at the bus terminal and a taxi ride will cost around BTN 100-150. The Chhorten is a short distance from the main roads.
