Getting There

Walking
If you are in the city center of Thimphu, start at the Clock Tower Square, which is a prominent landmark. From the Clock Tower, head east along Norzin Lam for about 500 meters until you reach the junction with Pedzoe Lam. Turn left onto Pedzoe Lam. Continue walking for another 200 meters. The National Library & Archives of Bhutan will be on your left, just past the Bhutan National Museum.

You can easily find a taxi from various points in Thimphu. Simply tell the driver you want to go to the National Library & Archives of Bhutan located on Pedzoe Lam. The fare should be around 100-200 Ngultrum, depending on your starting point. The driver will take you directly to the entrance of the library.

Local Bus
Look for a local bus heading towards Kawang Jangsa. Buses frequently depart from the Thimphu Bus Station. Board the bus and inform the conductor that you want to stop at the National Library & Archives of Bhutan. The bus will drop you off near the library, and from there, it is just a short walk to the entrance.
