Getting There

  • Walking

    Start from the center of Thimphu, specifically from the Clock Tower Square. Head east towards Norzin Lam, which is the main street. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Chhogyal Lam. Turn left onto Chhogyal Lam and walk for approximately 500 meters until you reach the Takin Preserve sign on your right. Follow the path leading into the Royal Takin Preserve.

    From the Clock Tower Square, locate the nearest bus stop and catch a bus heading towards Motithang. Please confirm with locals or bus staff that the route stops near the Takin Preserve.
