    Getting There

    Walking

    Start from the center of Thimphu, specifically from the Clock Tower Square. Head east towards Norzin Lam, which is the main street. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Chhogyal Lam. Turn left onto Chhogyal Lam and walk for approximately 500 meters until you reach the Takin Preserve sign on your right. Follow the path leading into the Royal Takin Preserve.

    Public Bus

    From the Clock Tower Square, locate the nearest bus stop and catch a bus heading towards Motithang. Please confirm with locals or bus staff that the route stops near the Takin Preserve. Once you reach the Motithang area, get off at the nearest stop and walk towards the Royal Takin Preserve, which will be a short walk away. Look for signs directing you to the preserve.

    Taxi or Ride-Hailing

    If you prefer a quicker option, you can hail a taxi from anywhere in Thimphu. Simply inform the driver that you want to go to the Royal Takin Preserve. The driver will know the location and can take you directly there. The ride should take around 10-15 minutes depending on traffic.
