Walking
If you are starting from the main city center of Thimphu, head towards Norzin Lam, which is the main street. Walk north on Norzin Lam until you reach the intersection with Chhoten Lam. Turn right onto Chhoten Lam and continue straight. You will pass by the National Library on your left. Continue walking until you reach the junction with Gaden Lam. Turn left onto Gaden Lam and follow this road. The Thangthong Dewachen Dupthop Nunnery will be located a short distance ahead on your right. Look for the entrance marked with a sign.

Walking
Starting from the clock tower in the center of Thimphu, walk towards Tashichho Dzong. From the Dzong, continue along the road that leads towards Zilukha. Keep walking until you see signs for Gaden Lam. Once you reach Gaden Lam, turn right and continue walking until you spot the Thangthong Dewachen Dupthop Nunnery on your left. It is situated in a serene area, surrounded by trees, making it a peaceful location.

From the weekend market area in Thimphu, walk towards the main street of Norzin Lam. Head north along Norzin Lam and turn left onto Chhoten Lam. Continue walking until you reach the Gaden Lam intersection. Take a left onto Gaden Lam and walk about 10 minutes. The nunnery will be on your right-hand side, identifiable by its traditional architecture and serene atmosphere.
