Walking
If you are starting from the center of Thimphu, head towards Norzim Lam Road. Walk towards the Clock Tower Square, which is a prominent landmark. From there, continue straight onto Norzim Lam. After about 1 kilometer, you will reach a junction. Keep left at the junction, and you will see a path leading towards Tashichho Dzong. Follow the signs for Tashichho Dzong, and you will arrive at the entrance in approximately 15-20 minutes.

Rent a bicycle in Thimphu and head towards the main street, Norzim Lam. Cycle straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the Clock Tower Square. From the square, continue on Norzim Lam.
