Car
If you are driving from Trashigang town, head east on the main road (National Highway 2). After approximately 30 kilometers, you will reach a sign indicating Trashiyangtse. Turn left at this junction and continue on the road for about 12 kilometers. You will see signs directing you to Gom Kora. The monastery is located slightly uphill from the main road, and there is parking available nearby.
Public Transportation
To reach Gom Kora via public transportation, take a local bus or shared taxi from Trashigang to Trashiyangtse. Buses depart regularly from the main bus station in Trashigang. The journey takes about 45 minutes to an hour, and costs approximately 50 Nu. Once you arrive in Trashiyangtse, you can either walk to Gom Kora, which is about a 30-minute hike uphill, or you can hire a local taxi from the bus stop to take you directly to the monastery for around 200 Nu.
Walking
If you prefer to walk from Trashiyangtse town to Gom Kora, follow the main road leading out of town. After about 2 kilometers, you will notice a path leading up the hill towards the monastery. The hike is moderately steep and takes about 30 minutes. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, and carry enough water, especially during hot weather.
