Getting There

Walking
From the main town square of Wangdue Phodrang, head east towards the Wangdue Phodrang Dzong. Continue walking straight for about 15 minutes until you reach a fork in the road. Keep to the left path which leads towards the Kyichu Lhakhang. After about 10 more minutes, you will see the temple entrance on your right. Look for the sign indicating Kyichu Lhakhang.

If you are near the Wangdue Phodrang bus station, exit the station and take the main road heading southeast. Walk along this road for approximately 20 minutes, and you will come across a small trail leading up to Kyichu Lhakhang on your left. Follow this trail until you arrive at the temple.

Starting from the Punakha Suspension Bridge, which is about 30 minutes away from Wangdue Phodrang, take the trail back towards Wangdue. Once you reach the junction, turn left and follow the signs for Kyichu Lhakhang. It will take about 30 minutes to reach the temple from this point.
