Walking
From Wangdue Phodrang town center, head northeast on the main road towards Thimphu. Keep walking straight for about 1 kilometer. You will pass the Wangdue Phodrang Dzong on your right; it’s a prominent landmark. Continue walking until you reach the junction leading to the Thimphu highway (National Highway 2). Cross the junction and follow the signs towards Thimphu. After approximately 2 kilometers, you will reach a bus stop. From here, you can catch a local bus or continue walking for an additional 3 kilometers on the highway until you reach the Dechenchholing area in Thimphu, where Pangri Zampa Monastery is located.

From Wangdue Phodrang town center, locate the bus terminal. Board a bus heading towards Thimphu. The bus ride takes about 30-40 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the Thimphu bus terminal, exit and look for a local taxi or ask for directions to Dechenchholing. The Pangri Zampa Monastery is approximately 5 kilometers from the bus terminal. You can also opt to walk, which will take around 1 hour, heading southeast on the main road until you see the signs for the monastery.
