From the center of Sarajevo, take a tram (Line 3) from the 'Baščaršija' stop towards 'Harmani.' Get off at 'Vijecnica' stop. From there, walk to the nearest bus station at 'Trg Oslobođenja' and catch a bus heading towards 'Pale.' Inform the driver that you want to get off at the 'Rakitnica' stop. After getting off, follow the signs and trails leading towards Rakitnica Canyon, which is about a 20-minute walk from the bus stop.

If you're already near the old city (Baščaršija), you can embark on a long scenic hike. Head southeast towards the 'Vrelo Bosne' park. Follow the path along the river, and as you approach, continue past the park entrance. The hike to Rakitnica Canyon will take approximately 2-3 hours, depending on your pace, and offers stunning views of the surrounding nature.
