The Kameni bedemi, or stone walls, mark the Lower Town of the Zvornik Fortress, a significant historical site in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The fortress is divided into three interconnected parts: Lower Town, Middle Town, and Upper Town. The Lower Town, where the stone walls are located, sits near the Zvornik-Sarajevo road, featuring a recognizable city gate. Construction of the fortress began in the late 13th century, with various powers including Bosnian, Hungarian, Serbian, and Ottoman forces controlling it throughout the 15th century. The fortress is also known as Jerina's Town, named after the wife of Despot Đurađ Branković, though legends attribute its construction to her.
