The most common way to reach Tau Pan Camp is by a 40-minute light aircraft flight from Maun Airport (MUB). From the Tau Pan airstrip, it's approximately a 10-minute game drive to the camp. This flight typically costs around $400 - $600 per person, one way, depending on the operator and aircraft.

Self-Drive
Self-driving to Tau Pan Camp is possible but requires a 4x4 vehicle and considerable experience with driving in sandy conditions. The journey from Maun via Rakops takes approximately 7 hours. Road conditions vary significantly depending on the time of year. Visitors are encouraged to have Pula (BWP) in cash available to pay for the daily entrance fees at the game reserve. These fees are approximately P75.00 for vehicles under 3500 KG.
