The most common way to reach Kwando Nxai Pan Lodge is by a light aircraft transfer from Maun Airport (MUB). The flight takes approximately one hour to the lodge's airstrip, followed by a 15-minute game drive to the camp. This transfer is typically arranged by the lodge as part of the accommodation package. Self-Drive (4x4 Required)
For adventurous travelers, self-driving to Nxai Pan National Park is possible, but requires a 4x4 vehicle due to sandy conditions. From Maun, take the A3 road towards Nata. The entrance to Nxai Pan National Park is approximately 130km from Maun and 65km west of Gweta. Once inside the park, follow the signs to Kwando Nxai Pan Lodge. Be aware that driving conditions can be challenging, especially during the rainy season. Ensure you have sufficient fuel, water, and supplies, as there are no facilities within the park.
