The Brasília Brazil Temple is the 180th operating temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the tenth in Brazil. Announced in 2017 and dedicated in September 2023, the temple's design reflects the modern architectural style prevalent in Brasília, paying homage to the city's iconic structures designed by Oscar Niemeyer. The temple's exterior is clad in sparkling white Brazilian marble, featuring clean lines, expansive cantilevers, and subtle curves reminiscent of sailboats. A single attached central spire rises from the structure, and the hand-colored stained glass windows transition from dark blue to light blue, adding to its visual appeal. The meticulously maintained grounds feature native, drought-tolerant species, with thousands of shrubs, perennials, and over 200 trees. Inside, the 25,000-square-foot temple houses two instruction rooms, two sealing rooms, and a baptistry. The interior incorporates Paraná white marble, porcelain floors, Bahia blue stone tiles, and Brazilian-made carpets. The temple serves over 50,000 Church members in the region and stands as a symbol of faith and a testament to the growth of the Church in Brazil. Visitors are welcome to stroll the grounds and appreciate the temple's architecture and peaceful atmosphere.
