Getting There

  • Public Transport

    To reach BioParque do Rio via public transport, take the Metro or train to São Cristóvão Station. From there, it's a short walk to the Quinta da Boa Vista, where the BioParque is located. A RioCard can be purchased and topped up for use on the Metro and buses. The cost of the Metro is around R$3. Keep in mind that using two different types of transportation within 2 hours can give you discounts on the fare.

  • Taxi/Ride-Share

    Taxis and ride-sharing services like Uber and Cabify are readily available in Rio de Janeiro. A taxi from the city center to BioParque do Rio typically takes around 20 minutes, depending on traffic. The estimated fare is R$25-R$40.     If driving to BioParque do Rio, use GPS to navigate to Quinta da Boa Vista in São Cristóvão.
