Car
From Alto Paraíso de Goiás, drive southeast on GO-118 for about 18 km. Look for signs for 'Cachoeira do Macacão' and turn left onto a dirt road. Continue for approximately 5 km to the park entrance. Be aware that the road is challenging and a 4x4 vehicle is recommended. Some cars may need to park about 900 meters before the entrance due to a steep descent. From the parking area, follow the well-marked trail to the waterfall. Entrance fee is R$ 40 per person. Parking is available at the entrance.
Public Transport
Take a bus from Brasília or Goiânia to Alto Paraíso de Goiás. Upon arrival, hire a local taxi or a tour operator that offers shuttle services to Cachoeira do Macacão. Confirm costs beforehand; a round trip taxi fare may range from R$ 50 to R$ 80. The taxi will take you to the park entrance, where you can pay the entrance fee of R$ 40 per person and begin your hike to the waterfall.
