The square has undergone careful revitalization and serves as a charming meeting point for locals and tourists alike.The square is surrounded by historical buildings, including the Corpo de Bombeiros (Fire Department), the Igreja do Divino Espírito Santo (Church of the Divine Holy Spirit), and the IPUF (Institute of Urban Planning of Florianópolis). It features a playground named Parque Dona Tilinha, dedicated to Atília Tolentino de Souza, wife of a former mayor.
