Start your journey by taking the Metro from any station in Rio de Janeiro. If you're near the Copacabana area, head to the Siqueira Campos station. Board a train on Line 1 (the Orange Line) towards General Osório. Disembark at the Botafogo station. From here, exit the station and walk towards the bus stop located on Rua da Passagem.

At the Botafogo bus stop, look for bus number 511 or 512. These buses will take you towards the Urca district. Board the bus and enjoy the scenic ride. Make sure to stay alert as you approach the Urca area. You will need to get off at the 'Praia Vermelha' stop.

After disembarking at the 'Praia Vermelha' stop, walk towards the beach, then turn left and walk along the water. You will see signs directing you towards the 'Fortaleza de São João.' Continue walking for about 10 minutes along the promenade until you reach the fortress entrance located at Al. Floriano Peixoto, S/n - Urca.
