Getting There

• Metro

  If you are near a metro station, take the Metrô Rio (subway) to the Botafogo station. Once you exit the station, head south on Rua da Passagem. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Rua São Clemente. Turn right onto Rua São Clemente and walk until you reach the Praça Nelson Mandela, which will be on your left.

• Bus

  Find a nearby bus stop and look for buses that head towards Botafogo. Buses 507, 511, and 512 frequently pass by this area. Get off at the stop nearest to Rua da Passagem. From there, walk south on Rua da Passagem, turn right onto Rua São Clemente, and continue until you reach Praça Nelson Mandela on your left.

• Walking

  If you are already in the Botafogo neighborhood, you can easily walk to Praça Nelson Mandela. Start from the Botafogo Beach area and head towards Avenida Pasteur. Walk along Avenida Pasteur until you reach Rua da Passagem. Turn left onto Rua da Passagem and walk straight until you reach Rua São Clemente. Turn right onto Rua São Clemente, and you will find Praça Nelson Mandela on your left.

• Taxi or Rideshare

  If you prefer a quicker route, you can take a taxi or use a rideshare app like Uber. Simply input 'Praça Nelson Mandela, Botafogo' as your destination. The driver will take you directly to the square. It is recommended to confirm the location with the driver to ensure they are familiar with it.
