If you prefer to travel by bus, you can take the bus number 584 or 583 from various points in the city to the Jardim Botânico area. Get off at the stop closest to Parque Lage, which is the starting point for the track to Corcovado.

Once you arrive at Parque Lage, the entrance to the hiking trail is well-marked. Follow the signs leading to the Corcovado trail. The trail begins at the back of the park and is a beautiful and scenic route that takes you through the lush Tijuca Forest.
