Start at the nearest metro station, either Cinelândia or Carioca, depending on your location. Take Line 1 (the light blue line) towards Jardim Oceânico. Get off at the 'Siqueira Campos' station. Exit the station and walk towards Rua Barão de Ipanema. From here, you can catch a bus number 580 or 583 heading towards 'Cosme Velho'. The bus will take you through beautiful neighborhoods as you head towards the base of Corcovado.

Once you arrive at Cosme Velho (the final stop of the bus), you will see the Corcovado Railway station. Purchase a ticket for the cog train that will take you up to the Corcovado Mountain. The train ride is scenic and takes approximately 20 minutes. Enjoy the view as you ascend to the summit.
