Getting There

• Public Transport - Bus

  If you are in the Pelourinho area, head to the nearest bus stop on Rua da Misericórdia. Take bus number 104 or 105 towards 'Praça da Piedade'. The journey will take approximately 10 minutes. Once you get off, you will be at Praça da Piedade, and the Convento dos Capuchinhos is located right on the square.

• Walking

  From the Mercado Modelo, walk towards the Elevador Lacerda and take the elevator up to the Cidade Alta. Once at the top, exit and walk straight along Rua da Conceição da Praia. Continue until you reach Praça da Piedade, which should take around 20 minutes on foot. The Convento dos Capuchinhos will be situated on the left side as you enter the square.

• Taxi or Ride-sharing

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can use a taxi or a ride-sharing app like Uber. Simply input 'Convento dos Capuchinhos' or the address 'Praça da Piedade, SN - Centro, Salvador - BA, 40060-300'. The driver will take you directly to the convent, and the ride should take around 10-15 minutes depending on traffic.

• Public Transport - Subway

  Take the subway from the Lapa station (Estação da Lapa) towards the Rodoviária. Disembark at the Campo da Piedade station. From there, it’s about a 10-minute walk to Praça da Piedade. The Convento dos Capuchinhos is located right on the square.
