Casa de Oxumarê: A Sanctuary of Afro-Brazilian Tradition

Casa de Oxumarê, or Ilê Axé Oxumarê, stands as a beacon of Afro-Brazilian heritage in Salvador, Bahia. Founded between the late 18th and early 19th centuries, this Candomblé temple is dedicated to Oxumarê, the Orisha of renewal, transformation, and the rainbow.
