From the Paraty trevo (cloverleaf junction), take the BR-101 highway towards Rio de Janeiro for approximately 24 km. Turn left onto the Estrada do Sertão do Taquari and continue for about 2 km. You'll find a parking area at the end of the road. From there, a short trail leads to Cachoeira do Caixote. Parking is typically free, though in some seasons, locals may charge a small fee.

Take a bus from the Paraty bus terminal towards Tarituba. Get off at Sertão do Taquari, and then take a taxi to Cachoeira do Caixote. The bus ride takes about 30-40 minutes. The taxi ride from Sertão do Taquari to the waterfall is short, costing approximately R$20-R$30.
