    From Road Town, Tortola's capital, taxis are readily available. A taxi to Trunk Bay takes approximately 20-30 minutes. Taxis do not typically have meters, so agree on a fare with the driver before starting your journey. Expect to pay around $30-$40 for a one-way trip. There is no fee for parking.

    Renting a car in Tortola offers flexibility in exploring the island. Several rental agencies are available at the airport and in Road Town. From Road Town, follow the Ridge Road east, turning left just before the mountain-top laundromat. Look for a chocolate brown house that marks the left-hand turn. After traveling less than 1/4 mile, the road will split. A well-maintained road leads down almost to the water's edge. Parking is available near Trunk Bay and is free of charge.
