These trails, marked with checkpoints and shelters, wind through native kerangas woodland, Acacia mangium, and Caribbean pine trees. Visitors can enjoy a range of facilities, including children's play areas, workout equipment, a pond, and refreshment stalls. Observation towers provide panoramic views of Bandar Seri Begawan and the Jerudong area. The park is also home to diverse wildlife, including long-tailed macaques and various bird species. Bukit Shahbandar has hosted events such as the Southeast Asian Games in 1999 and the First Brunei Marathon in 2005, and it remains a popular venue for departmental and ministry activities.
