Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, head towards Borovets, a popular ski resort located about 70 km from Sofia. Once you arrive in Borovets, follow the signs for the Yastrebets Gondola. The gondola station is located at the edge of the resort, easily accessible from the main road through Borovets. Look for parking areas near the gondola station where you can safely leave your vehicle. Note that there may be parking fees during peak seasons.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Borovets by public transport, take a bus from Sofia to Samokov, which is the nearest town. Buses leave from the Ovcha Kupel bus station in Sofia and take about 1.5 hours. Once in Samokov, transfer to a local bus or taxi to Borovets, which is approximately a 15-minute ride. Upon arriving in Borovets, follow the signs to the Yastrebets Gondola station, located at the edge of the resort. Be prepared for a short walk from the central area of Borovets to the gondola station.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct option upon reaching Samokov, you can take a taxi to Borovets. This is a convenient choice if you have luggage or prefer not to rely on local buses. The taxi ride should take around 15 minutes and cost approximately 20-30 BGN. Ensure you agree on the fare with the driver beforehand or use a ride-hailing app if available.
