From Plovdiv, take a bus to Smolyan from the Rodopi Bus Station. Purchase a ticket to Bachkovo. The bus trip takes approximately 40 minutes and will drop you off in the village of Bachkovo. From the village center, it's about a 1 kilometer walk south to the monastery. Bus tickets cost approximately 7 leva.
