From Sofia, take the A1 highway towards Blagoevgrad. Take the exit towards Rila Monastery (Road 62). Drive for about 90 kilometers until you reach Yakoruda. Follow signs for Rila Mountain and park at the designated parking area. From there, hike to Kovach Peak, approximately a 3-4 hour trek. Parking fee is around 5 BGN.
