If you're traveling by car, head towards the town of Ohrid, which is a central point in Southwest Bulgaria. From Ohrid, take the E79 road south toward Blagoevgrad. After approximately 50 kilometers, take the exit toward the town of Krupnik. Continue driving straight until you reach the village of Samuilovo. From there, follow the local signs to Samouil's fortress, which is located on Hill Kufalnitsa. There is parking available near the entrance of the fortress.

For those using public transportation, start by taking a bus from Blagoevgrad to the town of Krupnik. Buses run frequently, and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Upon arrival in Krupnik, you can either walk (approximately 2 kilometers) or take a local taxi to reach the village of Samuilovo. Once in Samuilovo, follow the signs to Samouil's fortress located on Hill Kufalnitsa. Be aware that the bus fare will cost around 5-8 BGN, and a taxi from Krupnik to Samuilovo may cost approximately 10-15 BGN.
