Bicycle
From the center of Bujumbura, head north on Avenue des États-Unis towards Avenue de la Révolution. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout at Place de l'Indépendance. Take the second exit onto Avenue de la République. Follow this road as it turns into Avenue du Large. After about 4 km, turn left onto the road leading to Gihanga. Continue for approximately 10 km until you reach Busiga. Kibira National Park is located a short distance from the main road.

Walking
If you are within walking distance of the city center, start at Place de l'Indépendance. Walk north towards Avenue de la Révolution. Continue straight, passing by the local market. Once you reach Avenue de la République, turn left and follow the road as it becomes Avenue du Large. You will need to walk approximately 14 km to reach Busiga. Keep an eye out for signs indicating Kibira National Park as you approach the area.

Public Transport (Minibus)
Find a minibus at one of the main bus stops in Bujumbura, such as near Avenue des États-Unis. Look for a minibus heading to Gihanga or directly to Busiga. The fare is generally affordable, around 1,000 BIF. Once on the minibus, remain alert as the journey may take about 30-40 minutes. Ask the driver or conductor to drop you off at Busiga. From there, Kibira National Park is a short walk away; follow the signs towards the park entrance.
