Car
From the main entrance of Kibira National Park, head southwest on the main road. After approximately 15 km, you will reach the town of Teza. Here, take the road towards Kirekura, following the signs. Continue for about 10 km until you see a sign for Kirekura. Turn right and follow the road until you arrive at Kirekura, which will be on your left. Note that the roads may be unpaved, so ensure your vehicle is suitable for rough terrain.

Public Transportation
From Gitega, locate a bus or shared taxi heading towards Teza. The fare is usually around 1,500 BIF. Once you arrive in Teza, look for a local moto-taxi (motorcycle taxi) that can take you to Kirekura. The moto-taxi fare should be approximately 3,000 BIF for the trip. Ensure to negotiate the price before starting your journey. The moto-taxi will take you directly to Kirekura.
