Walking
If you are staying in the town of Sal Rei, begin your journey by heading south on Avenida 5 de Julho. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Avenida dos Pescadores. Follow this road for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the main intersection. Here, take a right onto Rua de Lisboa. Keep walking straight for approximately 2 kilometers, enjoying the scenery, until you reach the coastal area. Once you get to the coast, look for the trail that leads towards the direction of Morro Negro lighthouse. It will be approximately a 15-20 minute walk from the coastal area to the lighthouse, which is situated at 1 Cabecos dos Careces. The lighthouse is easily recognizable due to its tall structure and prominent location.

Bicycle Rental
Start by renting a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Sal Rei. Once you have your bike, head south on Avenida 5 de Julho. Follow the same route as the walking directions until you reach the main intersection. After the intersection, take a right onto Rua de Lisboa. Continue cycling for about 2 kilometers until you reach the coastal area. From there, you can cycle along the shoreline towards Morro Negro lighthouse. The total cycling distance is approximately 5 kilometers from Sal Rei to the lighthouse, and it will take around 20-30 minutes depending on your speed.
