From the center of Santa Maria, head east towards Avenida Alguem. Follow this road until you reach the beach area. Once you hit the beach, turn left and walk along the coastline. Continue walking for about 15-20 minutes until you reach Praia de Igrejinha. You'll know you're close when you see the natural rock pools that form along the shore.

Take a local 'aluguer' (shared taxi) from the main square in Santa Maria. Board a vehicle heading towards the beach areas. Inform the driver you want to go to 'Praia de Igrejinha.' The ride should take around 10-15 minutes. Once you arrive, walk towards the beach and follow the path to the left for about 5 minutes to reach the beach.
