Walking
From the center of Sal Rei, head south towards the main road (Avenida de 5 de Julho). Continue walking straight until you reach a fork in the road. Take the right path towards the beach. You will pass several local shops and cafes along the way. Keep walking along the coast, and you will start to see the signs directing you to Santa Maria. Once you reach the beach area, continue walking until you see the vibrant beach bars and restaurants of Santa Maria.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Sal Rei. Start your ride heading south on Avenida de 5 de Julho. Follow the road as it curves towards the coastline. You will enjoy a scenic ride along the beach. Stay on the main path that leads directly to Santa Maria. Look for other cyclists or pedestrians for additional directions if needed. It should take about 30 minutes to reach Santa Maria.
Public Transport (Minibus)
Locate the nearest minibus stop in Sal Rei, usually near the center or the market area. Catch a minibus heading towards Santa Maria; these are often marked with their destination on the front. The ride will take approximately 20 minutes. Once you arrive in Santa Maria, you can hop off at the main square near the beach. From there, enjoy a short walk to the beach area.
