Walking
If you are starting from the center of Sal Rei, head east on Avenida 15 de Setembro. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Avenida de Praia. Follow this road until you see signs directing you towards Santa Maria. After about 1.5 kilometers, you will reach a fork in the road. Stay to the right, following the signs for Santa Maria. Continue on this road until you see the ocean on your left, and the Pier of Santa Maria will be straight ahead. The pier is a popular tourist attraction, so you can ask locals for directions if needed.

Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Sal Rei. Start at the main square and ride east along Avenida 15 de Setembro.
