Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from your location in Praia de Chaves, head southeast on the main road (Ribeira da Prata) towards Santa Maria. Continue straight for approximately 15 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Avenida dos Pescadores. Turn left and continue straight for about 3 kilometers. You will see signs directing you to Mural Cesaria Evora as you approach Santa Maria. The mural is located at H3XV+GF4, Santa Maria. There is no entry fee for viewing the mural, but parking may incur a small fee depending on where you park.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Mural Cesaria Evora using public transportation, take a local taxi or shared taxi (known as 'aluguer') from Praia de Chaves to Santa Maria. The fare should be around 3 to 5 CVE (Cape Verdean Escudo) per person. Ask the driver to drop you off near Avenida dos Pescadores. From there, it is a short 10-minute walk to the mural located at H3XV+GF4, Santa Maria. Follow the signs or ask locals for directions if needed. There is no cost to view the mural.

• Walking

  If you prefer to walk from Praia de Chaves, start by heading south towards Santa Maria along the coastline. It is approximately a 5 km walk and will take about 1 hour. Follow the path along the beach, enjoying the scenery, until you reach Santa Maria. Once in Santa Maria, proceed to Avenida dos Pescadores and look for the signs directing you to Mural Cesaria Evora at H3XV+GF4. This is a free attraction, and you can enjoy the local atmosphere on your way.
