    Getting There

    Bus

    From downtown Berkeley, walk to the nearest bus stop on Shattuck Avenue. Take the AC Transit Line 72 bus towards San Francisco. After approximately 30-40 minutes, get off at the 'Ferry Building' stop in San Francisco. From there, walk east along the Embarcadero for about 10 minutes to reach the Embarcadero waterfront area.

    BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit)

    Make your way to the Downtown Berkeley BART station located at 2160 Shattuck Ave. Take the BART train towards San Francisco/Daly City. Get off at the 'Montgomery St.' station after about 20 minutes. From Montgomery St., exit the station and walk east towards the Embarcadero, which is about a 10-minute walk.

    Walking

    If you prefer walking and are up for a longer trek, start from the UC Berkeley campus. Walk west on Bancroft Way until it becomes University Ave. Continue straight until you reach the Bay Bridge. Then, turn left and walk along the waterfront to Embarcadero. This walk will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, so wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
