Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from Downtown Berkeley, walk towards the north on Shattuck Avenue. Continue walking for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with University Avenue. Turn left onto University Avenue and walk for about 0.3 miles. You will arrive at the entrance of the UC Berkeley campus. Enter the campus and head straight towards the main pathway, passing by the Sather Tower (Campanile) on your right. Continue along the pathway, keeping the main library on your left. As you walk, look for the signs directing you to Philosophy Hall. It is located near the Philosophy department buildings. After about a 15-minute walk, you will reach Philosophy Hall, located at the address: Philosophy Hall, Berkeley, CA 94720.

  • Public Transit (Bus)

    From Downtown Berkeley, you can take the AC Transit bus. Board the bus at the nearest stop on Shattuck Avenue; you can take the 51B line toward the UC Berkeley campus. After about 10 minutes, get off at the stop 'University & Telegraph.' From there, walk north on Telegraph Avenue for about 0.2 miles, then turn left onto University Avenue. Enter the UC Berkeley campus and follow the main pathway towards the Philosophy Hall. This should take about 5 minutes.
