Discover the Majestic Campanile Esplanade

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are near the main part of the UC Berkeley campus, you can easily walk to Campanile Esplanade. Start by heading towards the iconic Sather Tower, commonly known as the Campanile. From the center of the campus, walk towards the north along Sproul Plaza. After crossing Bancroft Way, continue straight until you reach the entrance of the Campanile. Once you see the Campanile, head to the left side of the tower to access Campanile Esplanade, which is located at South Hall Rd.

• Public Transit (Bus)

  For those who are farther away in the Berkeley area, you can take the AC Transit bus. Look for the nearest bus stop that services the Transbay or local line routes. Board the bus heading towards 'Berkeley' and get off at the 'University Ave & Oxford St' stop. From there, walk east along University Ave, then turn left onto Oxford St. Continue walking until you reach Sproul Plaza, and then follow the walking directions to Campanile Esplanade.

• Biking

  Biking is another great way to reach Campanile Esplanade if you are in the Berkeley area. You can rent a bike from one of the local bike-sharing programs. Start by heading towards the campus entrance from your location, then navigate to the bike lanes on Oxford St. Ride north until you reach Sproul Plaza. Once there, park your bike and walk the rest of the way towards the Campanile. The Esplanade is easily accessible from the base of the tower.
