Walking
From the center of Carmel-by-the-Sea, head east on Ocean Avenue towards San Carlos Street. Continue straight as Ocean Avenue turns into 6th Avenue. After about 0.6 miles, turn left onto Junipero Street, then right onto 7th Avenue. Follow 7th Avenue until you reach the intersection with Mission Street. Turn left onto Mission Street, which will lead into the city of Monterey. Continue on Mission Street for about a mile until you reach the Monterey Peninsula Recreational Trail. The Pacific House Museum will be located along this trail.

Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, from the center of Carmel-by-the-Sea, head east on Ocean Avenue towards San Carlos Street. Follow the same route described for walking until you reach 7th Avenue. Instead of walking, enjoy a leisurely bike ride along 7th Avenue, then onto Mission Street towards Monterey. Once you reach the intersection with the Monterey Peninsula Recreational Trail, you can easily park your bike and enjoy your visit to the Pacific House Museum.

From Carmel-by-the-Sea, walk to the nearest bus stop on Ocean Avenue. Catch the Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST) bus line 1 or 2 towards Monterey. Ride the bus for about 15-20 minutes until you reach the stop closest to the Monterey Peninsula Recreational Trail. After disembarking, follow the signs leading to the trail, and you will find the Pacific House Museum along the trail.
