    From the center of Carmel-by-the-Sea, head south on Ocean Avenue towards the ocean. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with San Carlos Street. Turn left onto San Carlos Street and walk until you hit the intersection with 7th Avenue. Turn right onto 7th Avenue and continue walking until you reach the end of the street. You’ll find the scenic Scenic Road; follow it south along the coastline. After about a half-mile, you will reach the intersection with Asilomar Boulevard. Continue straight; this road eventually becomes Lighthouse Avenue. Follow Lighthouse Avenue until you reach the intersection with Old Fisherman’s Wharf in Monterey, where you will see the destination on your right.

  • Public Bus

    From Carmel-by-the-Sea, walk to the nearest bus stop located at the intersection of Ocean Avenue and San Carlos Street. Catch the Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST) Bus Line 1 heading towards Monterey. The ride will take approximately 20 minutes. Get off at the stop closest to Old Fisherman’s Wharf. Once you exit the bus, walk east towards the water and you will see Old Fisherman’s Wharf directly ahead.

  • Bicycle

    If you have access to a bicycle, start from the center of Carmel-by-the-Sea. Head south on Ocean Avenue to San Carlos Street and turn left. Continue along San Carlos until you reach 7th Avenue, then turn right. Follow 7th Avenue to Scenic Road and turn left, cycling along the coastline. It’s about 1.5 miles to Monterey. Once you reach Lighthouse Avenue, continue until you see Old Fisherman’s Wharf, which will be on your right side.
