Public Transit - Bus

Start at the Castro Valley BART station. From there, board the BART train towards San Francisco. Get off at the San Leandro BART station. Once you exit the station, walk towards East 14th Street. At the intersection of East 14th Street and San Leandro Blvd, catch the AC Transit bus line 90 heading towards San Leandro. Stay on the bus for about 10 minutes and get off at the stop near Root Park, which is located on Estudillo Avenue. Walk a short distance to reach City of San Leandro Root Park.

If you are already in Castro Valley, start at the center of Castro Valley and head south towards E. Castro Valley Blvd. Walk down E. Castro Valley Blvd until you reach the intersection with East 14th Street. Continue south on East 14th Street until you reach the San Leandro border. At the border, East 14th Street becomes Estudillo Avenue. Keep walking until you see City of San Leandro Root Park on your right.
Bicycle

If you're cycling, start from the center of Castro Valley and head south on E. Castro Valley Blvd. Continue until you reach East 14th Street. Turn south onto East 14th Street, then cycle along it until you reach Estudillo Avenue. Turn right onto Estudillo Avenue, and you will find City of San Leandro Root Park on your right.
