If you're traveling by car, start by heading east from any location in the Colorado Desert towards U.S. Route 95. Follow U.S. Route 95 north until you reach I-10 East. Merge onto I-10 East and continue for approximately 50 miles. Then, take Exit 117 for California Route 62 towards Twentynine Palms. After about 15 miles, merge onto California Route 177 North. Follow this road for about 35 miles until you reach Highway 62 again. Continue on Highway 62 until you reach I-15 North. Merge onto I-15 North and continue until you reach the junction with I-70 East. Take I-70 East and follow the signs to U.S. Route 50 East, which will lead you to Gunnison, Colorado. Once in Gunnison, take State Route 347 South to reach the entrance of Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park.
