You can enjoy a beautiful view of the San Diego skyline as you stroll along the waterfront. Once at the ferry landing, purchase a ticket at the ticket booth. Board the ferry that is headed to downtown San Diego (the ferry operates frequently). After approximately 15 minutes, you will arrive at the Broadway Pier in San Diego.

    Upon disembarking at the Broadway Pier, head east towards Broadway, and turn left. Continue walking along Broadway for about 0.5 miles. You will pass through the vibrant Gaslamp Quarter. When you reach the intersection with 2nd Avenue, turn right. Continue straight for another 0.2 miles, and then turn left onto Island Avenue. The New Children’s Museum will be on your left at 200 W Island Ave.

  • Public Transit (Bus)

    After arriving at the Broadway Pier, if you prefer to use public transport instead of walking, you can catch the MTS bus. Head to the bus stop located near the pier. Look for the bus route 901 or 992, which will take you toward the downtown area.
