Public Transit - Bus
From Hayward, head to the Hayward BART station located at 699 B St, Hayward, CA 94541. Take the BART train towards San Francisco/Daly City. Ride until you reach the Montgomery St. station in San Francisco. Once you exit the station, head towards Market St. and catch the Muni bus line 1-California. Ride the bus for about 15 stops, and get off at the corner of Jackson St. and Steiner St. Alta Plaza Park will be across the street.
Public Transit - BART and Muni
From Hayward, walk to the Hayward BART station (699 B St). Take the BART train towards San Francisco/Daly City. Get off at the Civic Center station. From there, transfer to the Muni bus line 22-Fillmore. Take the bus north and get off at Fillmore St. and Jackson St. Walk one block west on Jackson St. to reach Alta Plaza Park located at Jackson St. and Steiner St.
