Start by heading to the nearest BART station in Hayward, which is the Hayward BART Station located at 699 S B St, Hayward, CA 94541. From there, board a train towards San Francisco/Daly City. You will need to transfer trains at the Embarcadero Station. At Embarcadero, switch to the outbound train towards the Montgomery Street Station. After arriving at Montgomery Street, exit the station and walk towards the northeast on Montgomery St. Continue walking straight for about 0.5 miles, and you will reach Jackson Square in San Francisco.

Find the nearest AC Transit bus stop in Hayward. You can take the Line 70 bus towards San Francisco. This bus will take you directly to the Transbay Terminal in San Francisco. Once you arrive at the Transbay Terminal, exit and walk northwest on Howard St towards Beale St. Turn left onto Beale St, then turn right onto Clay St. Continue walking until you reach Jackson Square.

If you are near downtown Hayward, you can walk towards the Hayward BART Station located at 699 S B St. From there, follow the directions for the BART public transit option mentioned above. Alternatively, you can walk towards the Hayward Public Library, then head east on C St until you reach Mission Blvd. Continue on Mission Blvd until you find the nearest bus stop for AC Transit or a ride-share service that can take you to San Francisco.
