    From your location in Huntington Beach, walk to the nearest bus stop where you can catch the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) bus route 1. Board the bus heading towards Long Beach. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and 1st Street. Transfer to the Metro Bus Line 130, which will take you towards Rancho Palos Verdes. After approximately 45 minutes, get off at the 'Palos Verdes Dr S & Ocean Trl' stop. From there, it is a short 10-minute walk to Abalone Cove Park, located at 5970 Palos Verdes Dr S.

    Rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Huntington Beach. Start from Main Street and head south along the beach bike path. Continue past Bolsa Chica State Beach and into Sunset Beach. Follow the path towards the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH).
