Car
From Joshua Tree National Park, start by exiting the park through the North Entrance. Head east on Highway 62 (Twentynine Palms Highway) towards Morongo Valley. Continue on Highway 62 for about 15 miles until you reach the intersection with Morongo Valley. Turn left onto Morongo Valley Road and continue for about 4 miles. Then, turn right onto East Dr. Follow East Dr for approximately 1 mile, and you will arrive at Big Morongo Canyon Preserve, located at 11055 East Dr, Morongo Valley, CA 92256. Parking is available on-site.

Public Transportation
To reach Big Morongo Canyon Preserve using public transportation, you can take the Morongo Basin Transit Authority bus service from Joshua Tree. Board the Route 1 bus heading towards Yucca Valley at the Joshua Tree Visitor Center. Transfer at the Yucca Valley stop to a bus heading towards Morongo Valley. Once you arrive in Morongo Valley, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 miles to reach Big Morongo Canyon Preserve. Please check the current schedule for bus times and routes, as they may vary.

For those wanting to bike, start at the Joshua Tree Visitor Center and head east on Highway 62. This route includes approximately 15 miles of highway riding, so ensure you wear appropriate safety gear.
