If you are traveling by car from Joshua Tree National Park, exit the park through the Joshua Tree Entrance near the town of Joshua Tree. Head northwest on Park Blvd toward CA-62 E. Continue on CA-62 E for about 6 miles. When you reach the intersection with 29 Palms Hwy (CA-62), turn right. Continue on 29 Palms Hwy for about 10 miles, and you will find the Hi-Desert Nature Museum on your left at 57090 29 Palms Hwy, Yucca Valley, CA 92284. Parking is available on-site.

If you prefer public transportation, you can take the Morongo Basin Transit Authority (MBTA) bus. Start by taking the bus from Joshua Tree to the Yucca Valley bus station. Check the MBTA schedule for the latest routes and times. Once you arrive at the Yucca Valley bus station, it is approximately a 10-minute walk to the Hi-Desert Nature Museum. Head east on Twentynine Palms Hwy, and the museum will be on your left at 57090 29 Palms Hwy. Be sure to check the bus schedule for return trips.
