Public Bus
From La Jolla Village, walk to the nearest bus stop on La Jolla Blvd & Pearl St. Take the MTS Bus 30 towards the Old Town Transit Center. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at the stop at Old Town Transit Center. From there, transfer to Bus 388 towards Escondido. Stay on this bus for about 40 minutes, and get off at the stop near the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. The park entrance will be a short walk from the bus stop.

If you prefer to ride a bike, start at La Jolla Cove. Head northeast on Coast Blvd toward Girard Ave. Turn left onto Girard Ave and follow it to La Jolla Blvd. Then, take La Jolla Blvd north until you reach the intersection with Torrey Pines Rd. Continue on Torrey Pines Rd, which will eventually turn into San Pasqual Valley Rd. Follow the signs to the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. It’s approximately a 12-mile ride, so be prepared for a workout!
